I repeat my suggestion: from within Device Manager, "uninstall" the update, reboot, and let Windows Update reinstall the update.

Oopen the Windows "Device Manager".

Double-click "Display Adapters".

Choose "uninstall".

After it completes, reboot, and see if the update will automatically be applied.

Yes.  That is the PROBLEM.  Click "uninstall".  Reboot.

It probably has SUCCEEDED in "downloading" the update, but has FAILED to "install" the update, because the update has already been installed.

Compare to trying to close an already-closed door -- you cannot close it until you first open it.
