BioHD8 not a hard drive but motherboard problem 210y 15 mo old

if this is true, how do I do a recovery I have 3 discs. Could someone walk me thru this? My DVD ROM doesn't work either so I am using an HP external DVD writer will priority need to be changed in bios?

biohd-8 is a hard drive "SMART" failure.  Unfortunately, a recovery will not help...the hard drive must be replaced.

a hard drive shouldn't have to be replaced in an 18 mo old computer. I will never buy another HP product. I have read where the motherboard was replaced in newer units after 9-2010. If HP thinks they can get away with this type of crap of a product it won't take long before HP and Best Buy are both out of business.

Do you have a bad HDD? take it out and put it in another computer to see if it actually is bad... it's the motherboard.

do you know how many refurbished HP computers are being sold to unsuspecting customers? and only a 90 day warranty.

there are 2 hard drives the 1 TB and the BD where is that and what is it for  why aren't more customers PO over this hard drive and motherboard failure?

and the kickbacks to PC Doctor (F9) so this is how the elections are won, someone programming things to go a certain way, I feel like HP and PC Doctor are in cahoots.
