Hi,
My computer can't seem to boot into vista normally, the blue orb just shows up, and then a black screen. Nothing else will happen. Also, The Computer seems to be making a weird noise, and i don't know where its coming from... I can boot in to vista in safe mode, and i system restored it, but istill couldn't boot into vista normally.

What PC model do you have? Have you added any software or hardware prior to this happening?
Here is an hp article that may help:

This might fix it, often it can.
I've found sometimes using it once is not enough. Try it a time or two, maybe three times before searching for another solution.

Two additional comments about "startup repair".
Doing this can speed a a slow starting Vista OS, in some cases.
Note: Do not leave USBs attached/plugged in while doing this "startup repair". Remove them first.

hi,
Heres some new details, When I keep the computer booting, after 30 minutes, I get the blue screen of restart, and it says the Display Driver "nvdkmm" has malfunctioned. What can cause this? Does this mean i would have to purchase a new video card?

I went to HP Hardware Scanner, It scanned, and said that the RAM has a problem, BIOME-1, is it related to the crashing, and the nvdkmm display driver problem?
