I am running Windows XP Home edition. After installing Itunes and a bad hookup of Ipod, it changed the drive letters of my DVD -RW and I can not write to DVD's or CD's. It now says it's a CD drive although it has Recording listed in the Properties.
Also tried to do a Diagnostic test in Help & Support and received a "exception in DisplayRunMap.runmap:" error msg.
I have done a System Restore to an earlier time and nothing has changed on the drive. My system is unstable and won't always start up easily.
I would like to simply write some files to disc to store.
Any Help would be appreciated.

Change the drive back to original drive letter. Instructions HERE
If it still fails to work, Download XP_CD-DVD-Fix.zip and save this file to your hard drive. Navigate to where you saved it and double click the file to extract the contents. Locate the EXE file you extracted and double click it. A confirmation dialog will appear when the script is done. Reboot for the change to take effect.
