Facing Error: Current media is full and there is no more free media.

Using Backup Library:  HP model 443584-001

Backup Tapes:HP LTO ultimate 800 GB

Operating System:Windows Sever 2003.

 

I am using backup utility to take backup but from last 2 or 3 days i get error "Current media is full and there is no more free media. Please add media or click Cancel to stop backup operation". Total data i have on server is approx 550 GB size of Tape Diskette is 800 GB. I think old data from tape should be remove so i can take backup but its not happening.

You would have to erase the tape. The tape software wouldn't just over write a previous save.

Plz tell the name of software which can erase data from tape.
