Accepted Solution

HP MediaSmart DVD & HP MediaSmart Music/Photo/Video

When I upgraded to Win7, the Upgrade Advisor did not have compatibility information about these two programs (HP MediaSmart DVD & HP MediaSmart Music/Photo/Video). So, I uninstalled them and tried to reinstall the upgrade, to no avail. Keep getting "error applying transforms" message when trying to install. Have tried the patches available at the HP website, as well as my recovery disks.

Re: HP MediaSmart DVD & HP MediaSmart Music/Photo/Video

Are you using the HP upgrade disks?

What is the model and product number of your PC?

What version of OS are you going from and to?

Re: HP MediaSmart DVD & HP MediaSmart Music/Photo/Video

I am not sure what updates you tried from hp.

HP MediaSmart DVD Application
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL31013/pv-76969-1/sp44403.exe

Please let me know if this works.
