HP Mediasmart bluray player keeps shutting off every 30 min

I am having some difficulty with my HP mediasmart DVD player (for my Blurays). I know I just signed up on this forum but I looked through the other topics listed to see if someone else had the same problem and the FAQs didn't go into enough detail for my problem.

I recently got a HP Pavilion a6750t CTO Desktop PC equipped with a bluray drive. The first time I tried to play a bluray it had me download this program and anyhoo... it was working just fine. I only own 2 blus right now but they played with no problems. Just today I rented a bluray and when I went to watch it the media player kept shutting off after every 25 or 30 minutes throughout the whole movie. Thinking maybe I just got a bad disc, I tried it again with a different movie movie (one that I know it has played through with no problems) and the same thing is happening. I can't figure out how to fix this! No doubt there is a setting I changed but I don't remember how to get back into the program settings. Has this happened to anyone else?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Need to know if 32 bit or 64?

Both have large drivers available for these drives. If you have them load them again to repair them.

As an alternative you can right click this drive in "device manager" and choose "update driver" or through the HP update system in your "all programs" section.

I followed the link you sent me and is this the driver update I should use? I just wanted to make sure before I download it.

I just tried to download and update the mediasmart update. I clicked "Install now" and the HP download/installer window opened-- then the installshield came up and I advanced through the next few screens (clicking next and yes and so forth) but the message "Your system is up to date. Update has been cancelled. (9995)" came up. What does this mean?

I ended up calling HP tech support (very impressed with their tech support btw) and the guy remotely controlled the computer-- deleted some files from device manager under the blu ray drive saying something about files trying to imbed to the drive and thats why the program was shutting down. So far everything appears to be working fine.
