Hi All
I need some help here, I have a HP P6109UK and I need to activate the VT-x on it but can't find a way of doing it, can't see anything in the BIOS to check, I wan't to run Virtualbox on the PC, but it needs VT-x working to make it work. The CPU has VT-x available, just can't get at it.
Any ideas please?

Hi:
See if the setting is in the power options menu.
If you've already checked there, then I don't know where the setting would be on your PC.

Hi,
The only things in Power are auto power off and processor XD feature.
can't find any thing anywhere to do with VT-x
BOIS version is 5.05 06/04/09
Core version 08.00.15
build 93WEv6PrA3
I'm on Windows 7, but when I was on Vista I updated the BIOS when a new one was available.
Anyone know where or how I can activate VT-x on my PC?

If your PC has an Eureka 3 motherboard then there do not appear to be any settings available that allow enabling/disabling VT-x in the Award BIOS.
The Benicia, Boston, NAPA and Narra5 motherboards had it in the Power Configuration or Power submenu. They were alternative motherboards for your PC model series.

Many thanks for that, shame as it's a good machine other than that, wil have to run Virtual box on my old PC as it works on that.
Thanks to all.
bBe nice if HP could get a BIOS update to solve the problem.
