When I started my comuter yesterday, the message came up saying it did not shut down right and to choose between Start Windows XP Media Center or the RecoveryConsole. I chose to start Windows.
The next screen has a litany of info about the inconvienecne but the system can not start. It lists several options including 3 safe modes, last known good configurations and start normally. I have chosen every option at this point including the 3 safe mode options and still the system will not start. It continues to recycle the same screens over and over again.
I am at a loss at this point and was looking for any help I could get.

Hi It816,
It sounds like some of your system files required for startup have become corrupted. Try running a System Restore and see if you can roll your PC back to a time when you knew it was working.
Here is an HP document on using system restore, I bookmarked the link to go to the section on running System Re....
Let us know how it goes.
