Hi
I currently have an HP RP5700 windows XP SP3 Ghost image and i have transferred this onto the new RP5800 machine.
All devices within device manager are now installed but one!
"PCI Serial Ports"
Can anyone point me in the direction of this driver please?
Regards

That should be in the chipset drivers. The web support portal for downloading drivers is here.
You should have posted this in the Business Products forum. This is the Consumer forum.

Is this serial port on an add-on PCI card?
I ask that because the other four serial ports should have gotten their drivers from the operating system and chipset software.
Do the other four serial ports have drivers?

This is whats strange!
The unit has come without any additional cards, so it only has the two onboard powered ports!

The reason you are having this issue is because you have transferred an image of the operating system and configuratioin to a system that has a different chipset.
The rp5700 has an Intel Q963 Express chipset and the rp5800 has the Q67 Express. When transferring an image of an OS the chipset must be identical for it to work especially with older systems unless you plain jane the OS before making the image. There is also a legality issue to consider with licenses. ![]()
It will not work because the HAL an OS creates on installation with each motherboard is different. You may also find that it crashes or becomes corrupt and totally unuseable after a while.
You will probably be better off doing a clean install. The new POS unit came with Windows 7 Professional 32-bit so why not use it and its license?

Hi:
We can find more info about the device if you go to the device manager, click on the PCI Serial Port and click on the details tab.
Post the top string of characters you see there.
I am guessing it is missing one of the Intel AMT components.
