HP Recovery disk.

Hello,

I just bought the HP Recovery disk for my HP Pavilion,  i forget to create one when i buy the computer, and i get a hd crash. So i lost my recovery partition. Does the Recovery Disk from hp need this partition or this is stand-alone?

I don't want to buy it and can't install it.

Hi,

The Recovery Discs you have ordered from HP will work on a completely clean ( ie new ) Hard Drive and will even re-create the Recovery Partition on the new HDD for you.

ohhh great, thanks, but does i get it as english only version? I'm french canadian and i would like to have french windows 7 version.

In that case, the replacement set of Recovery Discs should also install Windows 7 with French as the language.

Hi again,

I don't want to restart a new thread of that, but i just receive the restore disk,

After i started the windows restore, i get a blank screen for around 4h, i see the hd light blink some times, but i would like to know if it's normal?

If i restart the computer, i see the Windows logo, but the blank screen come again. Does it's because i don't have the disk for my computer?

Normally in 30-40min windows 7 are installed on my other computer, but in my hp pavilion, 4h of blank screen, it's really strange..
