F9 Diagnostics CPU Passed, Memory Test Passed, Testing Drives Error Code: BioHD-2: Warning No drives detected. Checked Cables Ok, tried other sata ports same problem, reset CMOS still same error message. Checked HD in another system, detected and was able to back up. CD DVD Drive not detected either so can't boot to Recovery Disc.

Sounds like the problem is with the motherboard or SATA cable. Try another cable and use canned air to clean out the inside of the SATA connectors. We're hoping here. If you can't get any drives to be recognised, try a PCI SATA card or replace the board.

Here is the exact meaning of the error code that I got from a previous thread on the same topic:

BIOHD-2: HDD ERRCODE>NO DRIVES,or DRIVES ARE NOT DETECTED, 

1) the Drive communication interface is not communicating;

2) the drive reader interface is not able to read;

3) HDD cable is not connected or loose;

4) or there is no drive installed

When you say you ran Diagnostics, was this the SMART Diagnostics from the BIOS?  This for the hard drive.

Thank you for getting back, I did try a known good cable and had used the canned air treatment before the HP  PC Doctor Diagnostics. I too feel there is a problem with the motherboard. I appreciate your input as it confirms my suspitions.......
