hi there
this may be a stupid question, but is there a difference between either of these programs? My slimline s5120f came with windows vista and was preloaded with HP advisor.
I was eligible for the free upgrade to windows 7 and I did so. On the support page for windows 7 there is a download for support assistant and an update, but no link for the update to HP advisor.
so my question is, if I download and install HP support assistant, can I uninstall advisor? They appear to be quite similar.
thanks

Both products serve different needs. I would keep both of them.

Do you know if there is a way to update advisor for windows 7?
its not listed on the software and drivers page for windows 7 for my pc but it is available on the windows vista one. I tried to download it for kicks but it said my OS was not compatible.
