Try updating your video card driver from the manufacturer's web site.  If that doesn't work then uninstall the HP Support Assistant and use the HP Recovery Manager to re-install the software.  Then download the latest HP Support Assistant update.

What model PC and operating system are you using?

Re: Hp Support Assistant - I can not read anything

Hi Big_Dave,

I don't think reinstalling HPSA is going to fix this as the issue is tied to the fonts that HPSA references. The fonts are in the operating system, so it would require full recovery or at least a full copy of the fonts from the OS to fix it.

Re: Hp Support Assistant - I can not read anything

Hmmm. I thought I had the same issue at onetime and I don't recall having to reload the fonts to fix it.  I do a lot of OS installs so that might have solved the problem.  It's been a while since I have experienced this problem.

Re: Hp Support Assistant - I can not read anything

such big_dave thanks for the help but I do not like mister_do says that is a problem with the video card because I have the latest drivers, and the problem started after I deleted the fotns. try updating the HP software but does not repair the problem, try installing it again but same thing happens, apparently the installer does not install the fonts.
The recovery disk, I have the restore disk and partition repair, but I do not read them because I have the program and not as a download and install it.

I have Windows 7 and the computer model is HP Pavilion DV7-1025nr.

sorry if there are errors of translation, I'm using an online translator.

Re: Hp Support Assistant - I can not read anything

Just in case there is still someone around ...

The fonts used by HP Support Assistant (actually the .NET PresentationFontCache) are :

GlobalMonospace.CompositeFont

GlobalSansSerif.CompositeFont

GlobalSerif.CompositeFont

GlobalUserInterface.CompositeFont

Re: Hp Support Assistant - I can not read anything

Hi Curious,

But how do you re-install these fonts in Windows 7? When I try to copy them in the font directory it's rejected as non valid?...

Thanks
