I have an HP Pavillion e9220y with windows 7 Home premium 64bit
I need to reinstall the driver for my memory card reader. It seems to have been corrupted. This has happened once before and I called HP and they helped me download the proper driver, but my warranttee is done and they will not help me unless I pay 59.99??
Does anyone know where I can get the proper driver?? I have recovery discs that I made when I purchased the CPU but I cannot seem to get them to work properly.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi,
No info from its specs, I believe it's a Realtek. Do you know what is it (usng Device Manager to find out). You may want to try this first:

I am unsure about how to find out what driver is used or what type of card reader it is? I looked under the Device Manager and I can not determine where I should look for the card reader? I looked at everything and I am unable to determine what it is I need.
Thanks for your speedy response also!
The link that you left I used yesterday for about 5 hours I tried to figure out what applied to my problem and I could not get anything to work.
In the device manager, where would I look to locate the card reader?

Hi,
Please try
- Control Panel > Device Manager
- Expand SD (or similar) Controller
- Right click and select Properties
- Under Details tab, get Hardware Ids info (you should see soemthing similar to this)
Please post that info back.
Regards.
