IPIBL-TX Motherboard BIOS problem

I think there is a problem with the version 5.21. The problem that I had with the 5.21 is that after the flash and restart it gave me the checksum error - loading default. Comp still boots up fine but it seems unstable so I'm trying to flash back to the older 5.16, but the file I need is missing from the FTP. The firmwares information is still on the site but the download link doesn't work. Also, I've read there is a newer firmware for this Bios.

Re: IPIBL-TX Motherboard BIOS problem

You are in the wrong section, please post again in desktop section, hopefully you received a better answer there.

In your case, try to search BIOS.bak, enable hidden file when you searching, thats your old BIOS.

I'm not familiar with HP desktop, in notebook the default would

c:\swsetup\BIOS filename\

or

c:\Program Files\BIOS filename\

or

c:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Local Settings\Temp\BIOS filename

Just search the file.

Good luck
