MOTHER BOARD CD

Hi,

When I purchased my hp compaq desktop the retailer has not given me my hp motherboard CD,Which is of great significant that I came to know now.Last when I cleaned my desktop I had to re-install Windows xp,Installation was success,but I was unable to connect to Internet.later I called technician ,he installed Net Drive.Again if I had to re-install means shall I have to reinstall net drive again,Is it possible to get or download Motherboard CD?.Please help me

The machine probably had software on it originally to burn a Recovery Disk set which is used to boot from to format and reinstall XP and all original drivers/software. Since you have installed retail XP that capability has been formatted away. You should still be able to download drivers from your models support page. If you will post the model number someone can locate it for you.The model number should be on the front of the tower.
