Hey Big Dave,
I wanted to let you know that your solution WORKED! I'm once again "cookin' with gas" and "choppin' tall cotton".
However, I find the whole process of the Cyberlink fix a bit of a mystery and if you could explain how running this software, rebooting the computer and wiping the hard drive would allow its fix to be permanent through this process, I would appreciate it.
I actually found this solution the very night I started running into trouble, but it seemed so improbable at the time. I'll trust my first instincts next time!
