What OS do you have installed?

Have you already tried a Windows System Restore to restore your PC to a date prior to the change that you made that whacked the NIC driver?

Did an OS downgrade cause this problem?

And you made no recovery cds before the format?

Your best option for now is to buy a PCI network card and install it. They are really inexpensive.  $10.00 or less. The hyperlink goes to NewEgg. You can also buy a NIC at your local electronic/computer shop. That way at least you will have a wired internet connetion again.

Afterwards you can update the chipset drivers from the support page for the PC and install them. Then you will have the use of your onboard NIC again. I am going to try to extract the NIC driver from the chipset driver. I will let you know how it goes.

Re: Network Driver Needed

I had a spare Nic lying around and that worked with getting most drivers. Still haven't had any luck with finding the drivers for the OnBoard Nic or SM Bus Controllers.

Re: Network Driver Needed

Take a read in this forum thread. There was someone who had a problem just like yours with the same motherboard. There are links to drivers for chipset and others.
