I recently purchased a HP Pavillion P2-1120 PC with an AMD E2-1800 Accelerated Processor which had Windows 7 Home preinstalled. Since I have XP software that will not run on the Windows 7 Home edition I upgraded to the Professional so I could use the Virtual XP Viewer. Following the process Microsoft laid out to activitate the utility I had to run the Hardware-Assisted Virtualization Detection Tool and recieved the message If you receive the message “Hardware-assisted virtualization is not enabled on this computer,” go on to Step 2 below. Under HP systems the first three steps are

1. Depress Esc key when prompted at startup

2. Depress the F10 key to Configure BIOS

3. Scroll to System Configuration using the arrow keys

When I get to step three there is no "System Configuration listed". Can you help me with this problem.

Re: Nitalynn

Hi:

I have often seen that the enable VT setting can be found in the BIOS security menu.

Re: Nitalynn

Thank you Paul.  The problem was I could not find anything but the bios power settings.  My computer literate son found them for me and solved the issue.  I was under some security settings.
