With Windows 7 64-bit and Firefox 6.0.2, and HP officejet pro 8500--how do I set the "Print" dialogue to use the "Fast/Economical Printing" setting as the default, so that I do not have to enter that setting every time I print?

Hi Stcroix,
1) Go to Control Panel -> Hardware & Sound -> Devices & printers
2) Right-click on the printer icon "HP officejet Pro 8500" and select printing preferences
3) Go to the "features" tab and select the printing quality that you wish
4) press ok
The new printing quality should now be the default setting and this works for all the other options as well.
Hope that helps.

Thank you. Your instructions were very clear and covered everything I needed to know. So, Neon 4499, you work for HP. Meg Whitman should give you a raise!
