Hey guys, I'm an owner of a Pavilion x6235a desktop, I'm try to use my recovery disks to restore my computer cause its been running slow for a while now. When I go to the system recovery option on the boot screen the disk loads up fine. Then an error pops up saying "This PC is not supported by system recovery disks. You will not be able to recover this system with these disks." I'm 100% sure that these disks aren't damaged because it loads the data just fine. I have all the original hardware on the machine; I swapped out the graphics card that came with the computer for a better one, but I've put back the original for the recovery. I have just monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected, and still the error shows up. Anyone have a solution to this problem?

Call HP and order a new set of recovery disks. Ctrl+Alt+S should give you the correct information. This PC was a new purchase and not a refurbished PC, right?

Download the data just fine is another matter. If you are getting message like this, sure it is the problem in disc. Check it out once more otherwise it may be a problem in operating system that is not able to support hardware or not able to instruct it.
