Registering PhotoSmart Essential 1.9 when it is included with PC purchase

When I start up this program, it asks me to register the product so I can get future updates etc.  However, since it was included (on Recovery drive D) with my Compaq PC, I have no serial number, which the process requires. How do I get registered for future updates and notifications without a serial number?

Re: Registering PhotoSmart Essential 1.9 when it is included with PC purchase

Thanks pcah9. I didn't realize it was available free as the program came up with a window asking me to register the software for some reason and when I was filling in the blanks it asked for a serial number. Doesn't make sense for it to ask if it's free to anyone at that Web page...

I also suggest you try the sidebar gadget,it is very simple to use and it works excellently, just drag and drop your photos into it and they print.
