Startup Repair after repair to factory setting Stuck

First thanks to Anyone who is willing to help me!

HP Pavilion Elite m9400 Desktop (M9400t)

Which IS Under warranty I should add...

And have had weeks of waiting to talk to someone about the current Service Ticket Number.(with no luck there...):womansad:

I finally did a Factory Restore.....

After restore to factory settings when I click finish and the pc restarts, it went to

"Start up repair is checking your system for problems...

If problems are found, Startup Repair will fix them automatically. Your
computer might restart several times during this process.

No changes will be made to your personal files or information. This might
take several minutes.

Attempting Repairs...
Repairing disk errors. This might take over an hour to complete."

This has been running since 6am this morning.. so 12 1/2 hours. you can not hit cancel or " x " out.
it says
"Startup Repair
The Current repair operation cannot be cancelled.

What should I do?
I don't want to use the power button to turn it off unless I know its ok?

I have been waiting on a reply fro a service ticket for weeks now. I keep getting the SAME reply over and Over.. it is..

I have gotten this same exact reply FOUR DAYS in a row. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

In a previous email I was told...

Hence I am escalating this case to our Advanced Support Group (Supervisor-Level)
who will get back to you will the next possible actions within the next two to
three business days.

that was weeks ago.

I cant seem to get this escalated anywhere. I keep telling myself this is under warranty with HP support!!!

So I am turning to this Forum as I have read many things in the past from here that DID work for me or the other pc I was working on at the time.

So my fingers are crossed and just hoping someone will know what to do.

THANKS A MILLION IN ADVANCE!!

(and Yes I know I am Shouting!!!)

I am awaiting a reply before turning it off or anything.

Re: Startup Repair after repair to factory setting Stuck

Based on the message you are getting after a system recovery, it sounds like your hard drive may be bad. Since the unit is under warranty, the repair should be covered. I am assuming you have contacted 1-800-HP-INVENT about service. Where did you buy the computer?

Re: Startup Repair after repair to factory setting Stuck

Oh yes I spent All day on the phone yesterday and the tech told me she was going to have her supervisor help me and call me back in 20 minutes as ""She could Not help me!!"

So what should I do next with my "Warranty" product? since I have called many times?

Re: Startup Repair after repair to factory setting Stuck

Call back, tell them you spoke with someone yesterday and were promised a call back. Tell them you need the unit fixed and you believe it is a bad hard drive. Remember to stay nice and professional on the phone, it goes a long way.
