Took a tip for diagnostic disk, but error code says can't find the software.???

After applying 2 updates, took a "tip" and tried to install diagnostic software.  Error code says software not found.???

New HP Pavilion 2500 with Windows 7.

Can you be more elaborative on the issue?

Like what updates did u install and what tip di u take?

Could you provide the product no. of the PC?

Sorry -- I should have been more specific.

Brand new (last week) HP Pavilion 2500 with Windows 7.  Setup went easy and the only updates were initial ones to Windows.  I created my 4 Windows backup DVDs, then was exploring some of the functions and HP support items. Got a screen on HP Vision Hardward Diagnostic Disc Creation that says create disc to troubleshoot potential problems.  Clicked on NEXT and got the error message.

Certainly not critical --- PC is running great.  Just with a new PC wanted to make sure I  created any Windows or other diagnostic discs  while I am thinking of it on a new PC.

Sent other post too fast.  Model number is p7-1225.  There are a total of 19 various windows updates on system via Windows Update process.  Hpope this is what you need.

In regards to the issue, thats quite strange that your getting an error message when trying to create a vision diagnostic disc.

I would suggest you follow the link below to create the same and also it gives you the steps on how to use the HP Support Assistant tool as well.

Thank you.  For whatever reason, it failed again twice yesterday --- was using search to find it.  Today used your process --- and it created disc.  Not critical --- but glad to have it.

Really appreciate the help.
