One thing they omitted (and now I can guess why), is that you can get all the info about your specific model by hitting Start/Help and Support/Online Product Page.  The thing I found out about that method is that it only seems to work while your model is of the current year. Once you're out of warranty, the location of that Page changes, so the HP software link no longer works. In my case, the software tries to link to the old Webpage: http://h30155.www3.hp.com/helpandsupport/cpc/cpcRedirectorPage.asp?Brand=Presario&Model=CQ5123F&Coun...

I have a post in the correct forum after working extensively with several Online Chat support agents whose only solutions were to reload Advisor and Support Assistant programs.  I have e-mailed the WebMaster and HP's CEO as this shouldn't be that difficult to fix.

I would like if I may, ask after prior detailing my computer model

and Windows 7 64 bit, that software downloaded, being installed

displays a pop up "computer does not support this download".

According to HP support team (before my computer expired its

warranty period) that this pop up was due to current version of

software was the most up to date.

My HP up dates want work. It says HP updates Client has stop working. Windows will close program and notify you of a solution.

But it never has.

Why want my HP updates program work please.

Also whaty are portable Devices? Under the divce manager my portable devices Compact Flash, MS/MS- pro, SD/MMC and SM/xD-picture all have a ! in yellow. What is that all about?

Device manager that shows an exclamation mark in yellow

back ground, usually means the device is corrupted or not

installed in computer.

Portable devices are i.e. external hard drives, printers and

modems.

what about for Mac osx? I received Appleudates 3 x's & I think they were all the same, ones, too.S now if knocked out my scanner & now the printing on line? ! I was missing the icon in the dock & the whole 9 yards. I called & reinstalled & have different looking windows, but it won't work! hp ppsc 1210. I need help!
