Win XP Disaster - Drivers needed!!!!

  OK, first off if anything sounds stupid oh well, I dont do this everyday. I got a virus on a computer I got off Craigslist, so I re-installed the operating system and deleted the partition bla bla bla, so when I get to the desktop, I cant get on the internet. Great. Basicly my computer doesnt know what to do with the ethernet controller I have, doesnt even know what kind it is, and cant use it all. Now Im stuck with WinXP SP2 and no drivers, plus in 30 days I have to register, which it wont let me do cuz I  cant get on the frickin internet. Great. I need drivers for my Compaq-Presario SR5210NX. Thats all I can find out. I think it has a Realtek Fast Ethernet Controller but I downloaded all the different types of drivers and nothing has worked so far. How can I get my machine to recognize my ethernet ports so I can download the rest of my drivers strait to the computer? HEEEEELLLLLPPPPPP!!!!!!  Please its very aggrivating...

Install the chipset drivers first and reboot.

Please install the chipset driver first. Copy the downloaded file int flash drive or CD and then install it.

For some reason this link, along with realtek's website wont work for me, I can see the download links, but the browser says error on page and when I click the download links nothing happens... although I am trying all the other things, fingers crossed of course...                Thanks for the help!                                     Might need more though lol

OK, well one down a bunch to go, but I got it online!!!!! You guys rock, and I would give you a hug if I could. Thanks a million! The Chipset is what did it....

Great to hear you are online! You probably had already installed the correct ethernet driver_the motherboard just did not know how to configure it until you got the chipset software installed.

Good luck with the other drivers, and let us know if you need more help.
