Windows 7 - .NET Framework 2.0 Not Installed Error Message - causing BSOD??

I recenetly upgraded my HP Slimline (7750 Dual-Core Processor 2.70GHz, 3gb RAM, 64bit, NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430) to Windows 7 Home Premium.

Everything seemed to have went well except now whenever I boot on my computer I get a windows error message which says I have not installed .Net Framework Version 2.0(http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/4312/capturepz.png).

If I try to download/install it I get a notice that it has already been installed. I've even tried to go to a higher release (3.5.1. sp1) but I get an install error dirring installation.

I believe this error is also causing me to get a blue screen of death because the drivers cannot operate properly. I cannot find a solution to this problem what so ever, is there anyone here that can give me ANY information as to how I can fix this issue??

Thank you in advance! This is driving me nuts!

Re: Windows 7 - .NET Framework 2.0 Not Installed Error Message - causing BSOD??

Try this for starters, you don`t need to download it as it is already on your computer ,you just have to know how to access it.

Go to programs and features in control panel, click on it and open it.On the left hand side you will see "Turn windows features on or off".Open that and scroll down to Microsoft net framework 3.5.1 and tick the relevant boxes next to it.Then your computer will install this for you.

If right don`t forget to kudos.

BTW, I'm getting a 0x00000116 BSOD, which upon a few google searches I've foudn that it has something to do with my NVIDIA driver, but again, when I attempt to update it I get another 'aleady installed' notification.

Re: Windows 7 - .NET Framework 2.0 Not Installed Error Message - causing BSOD??

I recently bought a new Windows 7 computer and was getting the same message. I have found that it was related to my Lexmark all-in-one printer. The driver included with the printer loaded seemingly without difficulty and the printer worked. But the Productivity studio would not run. The "need .NET framework 2.0" message would appear.

I finally checked the Lexmark support website and saw that as of 11-8-2009 there was a new driver available specifically for Windows 7. Once I downloaded and installed it, the error message no longer appears and the Lexmark productivity studio runs fine.

Re: Windows 7 - .NET Framework 2.0 Not Installed Error Message - causing BSOD??

UPDATE: After manually removing my NVIDIA driver and reinstalling the completely new/up to date Windows 7 driver seems to have stopped the BSOD from occuring at the moment, a simple update to the driver from the driver manager did not do the trick, I have to remove the old driver/download and install the new driver. I will attempt to install the newest Lexmark driver, but in the past it hasn't worked for me. I will post an update afterwards.

My friend has the same problem with win7 and a Lexmark X6650 printer. So i looked at the supportsite for the new driver but there are only two versions with release date of 29/9/09.

Where can i download the newer one (8/11/09)?

I am always automatical linked to a german supportsite, maybe there is no upgraded german driver, but i want to try if tthere is a chance with an english one.

The update I downloaded did not have that date but an earlier one. My printer was working but not the software. When I opened download I found I only required the software part of it.

Have you been looking on the Lexmark uk site under windows 7.

Just looked on website download is there with the date you quoted.
