a6120n recovery problem

my computer had been goin pretty slow with loads of trojans spyware and virus so i ordered recovery cd's i put the first cd in the drive and shut down then turned on i get pas hp logo but right after that i just get a black screen with blinking underscore i waited for over an hour but nothing happened any help would be appreciated
