can you change from 32 bit vista to 64 bit vista?

I screwed up, I put the Vista 32 bit DVD in instead of the 64 bit one.  Can I install the 64 bit on top of the 32 bit one?  Or will I have to start from scratch again.

You will have to do a clean install.  You might as well go with Windows 7 64 bit.

I really haven't had any problems with vista ultimate since I've installed it.  Why should I change something that isnt broken.
