cant install windows 7 on hp pavillion slimline s3714 it shows blue screen two thirds in

have tried to install windows 7 on my pc every time i do it gets all the way through to the last bit shuts down then should come up starting windows ect then checking computers performance but none of that just a blue screen the drive seems to be running but no video signal can someone help please

Do you know the processor make and model of your machine? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit? Some processors may not be compatible with the 64-bit version of Win7 (if that's what you're trying to install).

you can also download and run the upgrade advisor from Microsoft to check for any compatibility issues with the PC. You may also have to upgrade the BIOS. You check the product page for s3714 on HP.COM. I found this document that talks about upgrading to Windows 7 and gives the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 7. Hope this helps.
