I AM UNABLE TO UNDERSTAND WHICH HARDWARE IS GIVING SUPPORT FOR DISPLAY UNIT IN MY COMPAQ PRESARIO  S3240IN/P2.4/60/X/256BT/7MA/P - S000/8000. I AM UNABLE TO UNDERSTAND ALSO WHICH SOFTWARE WILL WORK FOR THE DISPLAY DRIVER FOR THE ABOVE MENTION BOARD.

According to the system specs your video adapter has the  NVIDIA GeForce4 MX420 64 MB video adapter.

 

Your system shipped with XP.
