Product: HP Pavilion HPE h9se Phoenix
OS: WIndows 7 64
I've installed a LSI 9211-8i RAID controller in this PC (device manager does see the adapter and driver) and have been unable to determine how to get into the RAID management fireware during POST operations because this PC seems to hide all the POST messages. Because of that, I don't see the adapter being loaded and what F key or control sequence I need to input to enter the firmware to set up the volumes.
Is there something in the BIOS to make the POST operations more explicitly visable?

Yes, there should be a setting in the BIOS that allows "normal POST messages" to be displayed as opposed to the standard "HP OEM logo". Please look for a "Boot-time Diagnostic Screen" option or something like that. This option may be under the "BOOT", "MAIN", or "ADVANCED" tabs.
Please provide the complete model number and/or product number of the HP computer in question for more accurate assistance.

product # (from invoice): EPP_00_QE446AV#ABA
I did find the setting in the BIOS to enable POST messaging...Thanks.
Now during the POST process, I am not seeing the LSI adaptor loading (no references to anything LSI or RAID related). LSI is asking me for the make and model of the motherboard in this box. Where do I find that?

Here are the specs and ordering options for your HP Pavilion HPE h9-1170t CTO Desktop Computer. Here are the specs for the computer's Pegatron IPIWB-PB (HP OEM Pittsburgh) motherboard. This is an OEM motherboard made by Pegatron for HP. Pegatron doesn't provide support, BIOS updates, etc. for the motherboard. All support for your system is provided by HP.
