Assuming the pictures are from a memory card, then the card slot should appear in the "My computer" as a drive.  If they do not, then click the start button, lower left  bottom (in normal view) then in the empty box with " Search programs and files", type "folder view".  Pick "show hidden files and folders"   there should be a box labeled "Folder Options" with the "View" tab.  In the "Hidden files and folders" area, pick "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" and then "Apply"

Now the card slot should show up in "My Computer" and it should be easy to copy the pictures to where-ever you want.

I did as you suggested and that only shows drives on my computer that are hidden. This is the memory slot on my printer. I am trying to put the memory card into my HP photosmart 7515 and transfer the photo images to the file on my computer. Seeing hidden drives on the computer does not help me see the memory slot on the printer. Hopefully you can suggest something else. It seems to me that there should be more options on the printer digital display for destination for the transfer than just snapfish. HELP. and thanks but that's not it.

Still not working. My model 7515 or the 7510 series was not even  listed on the "Cannot access card reader page" that you cited. I checked the drivers for both the printer and the 2009 series wide lcd monitor and Windows determined that the drivers for both were up to date. . No error messages occur when trying to transfer the photos. I know the reader is working because it tells me that 18 photos were found on the memory card and I can print them, I just can't transfer them to the computer. Not sure where the Task manager button is and if that would help. I have used the scanner and it works so why is there no communication between printer and computer when I want to transfer photos from emory card to computer? Help? and Thanks for any help!
