i need hp dvd mediasmart reinstalled

hello! since i had many issues with this software, i decided reinstall it.

 

the main problem is that it is impossible to find. many sp's packages are just updates, and even looking in the "swsetup" directory, i can find the software, but all i read is"this software can be only installed in authorized machine"... thats ridiculous, i have an HP computer preassembled with mediasmart dvd...

 

however, by other methods i reach this:

 

"hp mediasmart dvd is detected in you computer, you need proced to uninstallation first", i check ok, and the aplication closes all.

 

now i cant find blu ray player software anywhere...unless i spent 100 usd to cyberlink...

 

how can i install this thing? i read something about registry, but i dont know...

 

im from brazil, since HP and HP forum were uselles, im coming to you.

 

my pc is a p6645br.

Go to Control Panel, Programs & Features and uninstall it. Then use HP Recovery Manager in your Start menu to reinstall it. Instructions HERE

 

After reinstalling it get the latest update from your Support & Drivers.HERE

thanks you very much. but, my fear is this aplication reinstall ALL  the software to original condition... no office, no norton... and i would loose this program's keys plus 700gb on HD. i will not make a backup, 700gb backup i guess will take many dvds...

No you will not lose programs - you are not going to perform a complete System Recovery. You will choose "Software Program Reinstallation" in Recovery Manager. Read the instructions HERE

i just did that. i have  installed everything... dvd menu pack, movie theme pack....

 

but i just can't install dvd mediasmart, i follow every instruction, reboot, and its not there.

 

its sad cuz i cant watch blu rays anymore...:smileysad:

Did you go to Control Panel, Programs & Features and uninstall it first?

sure! its not there... i uninstalled from there, and i had some fatal error i dont remember... so i went with revouninstaller, done. cleaned registry with ccleaner; there's anything in the Hewllet packard> media> dvd

 

i already have 54010 here, and many others, just updates...
