keyboard recognition

Specs: HP Black Pavilion P7-1210 Desktop PC with AMD Quad-Core A6-3620 Accelerated Processor, 6GB Memory, 1TB Hard Drive and Windows 7 Home Premium

 

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

 

Problem: every now and then my keyboard stops working untill i restart the computer. at first i thought it was a regestry error but no regestry repair i ran worked.

 

even now im forced to use on screen keyboard to type this

 

please help? thank you for your time
