motherboad drivers

will anybody help me fine my hp motherboard 0984h drivers, i cannot acess internet after reinstalling my windows xp

Hi:

It would be much easier for us to help you if you post the model # of the PC, vice the motherboard.

After googling the 0984h motherboard, this HP business PC uses it, so I assume the drivers for this PC will work for yours too.

The problem is there is one of 2 NIC's installed in the PC, Intel or Broadcom.

So, please click on the ethernet controller in the device manager. Then click on the details tab.

Post the top string of characters you see there.

Those will tell me what model NIC you have in the PC, and I can let you know what driver to install.

That motherboard is used in a Compaq Evo d510 desktop PC.

I had a hard time finding the ethernet drivers for mine once. I think mine had an Intel Pro V100 NIC and I had to go to the Intel site to download the drivers, so if neither the Intel or the Broadcom drivers work for your PC, you can pretty much bet that you will need the Intel Pro V100 network driver too.

This would be the driver you need if none of the ones on the HP driver page don't work.

it worked with the intel pro v100....not with with not broadcom

I thought so. I remember pulling my hair out once trying to find the network card driver for that motherboard because none of them on that driver page worked.

 when my computer try to install it automatically ,it says  cannot install this hardware, will u help me on how to install this hardware

Hi:

I do not know how to troubleshoot printer issues. If the driver doesn't install, I would be in the same situation as you are right now.

I recommend you post your situation on the printers forum where there are several experts who forgot more than I ever learned about printers.
