my computer is my pride and joy and since it got messed up i just didnt knew wat to do so i started searching for a answer but none worked so i thought that you guys might help.
anyway my computer got messed up because it shows "NTLDR is compressed. press ctrl +alt +delete to restart" and i did but i got the same thing again...i tried to fix it in may ways but none worked and i dont have the cd to recover it and i searched and cant find one so i wanna know is, is there a way to fix it without using a windows xp cd? i have the computer compaq evo sff 300s i just need help

You are going to need an XP CD to repair it, can you borrow one?
If not download this ISO file and burn it to CD as an image, it is not an XP install CD, just the XP Recovery Environment for doing simple tasks.

Once the CD is made and you boot from it, follow these directions

hmmmm i cant borrow one since i think they are hard to find but i will try your ideas and see if it will work but for now i need to get some things....And some favors >.<

Did you look through "Alternative" solutions in the last link posted by Mumbodog:
I have used the alternate steps on a PC and it worked great. (On that PC, a teenager had checked the option "Compress disk to save space")

Yes, I know. I just didn't want the OP to overlook it in his stressed state, and worry over trying to acquire the other tools when it might be his solution. And to mention that I have personally used it with success as encouragemnet.

yes i got it working but i don't remember the administrator password because i put one on it but i don't remember it. Does this mean i got to buy a new computer?

i tried my windows password and it didnt work and whats a bios password again?

A bios password would ask for a password before windows even starts to load, at the very beginning of startup. So its the XP logon password.
If it is XP Home edition, enter safe mode, go to user accounts in control panel and remove the password for the user account.
