recovery disk

Purchased Touchsmart desktop with windows 7, needed to run recovery which worked, but recovered system is windows vista. How do I upgrade to the original window 7?

Drit1227, welcome to the forum.

 

This is a strange problem.  Normally, the Recovery Discs contain the OS that came with the computer.  Are you certain that it came with Win7?

 

If you will provide the complete model of the computer, I will do some research for you.  If the OS on the discs is incorrect, I will see what I can do to get the correct discs.

Yes I am sure it was windows 7. I was surprised when the recovery was vista. TouchSmart iq527 Desktop PC Serial Number 3CR90104QR Product Number fq584aa Thank you for your help **bleep** Ritter
