recovery, i want to go back to day 1

ive got a presario SR1000 desktop with xp on it, when i do recovery i still have old icons and some info still there, what i want to know is if i wipe C drive with other program like ccleaner is all my set up info and day 1 settings on my D drive under recovery?  thank jonnyt1969

I think you did a "System Restore" not a "System Recovery". May I ask for the steps that you made on this?

When you boot into Recovery look for an Advanced option to format the C partition and reinstall XP.
