I have a Compaq CQ5205Y and when my system goes into sleep mode I cannot get it to wake up by just moving the mouse.  It happens sporadically and I cannot pinpoint what is causing the issue.  I typically have to hold down the power button and reboot the whole system for it to come back on.  The startup screen then displays a message saying something similiar to that it has lost its restore point and do i want to proceed and lose any data that was not saved. 

 

I have had the computer since 2009 but we don't do much on it... mainly watch netflix and surf the internet.  I have read some information online about removing the RAM memory and then putting it back in as well as doing something with the BIOS - but Im not so sure about where either of these items are located and what effects it will have on the few documents that I do have stored on my computer.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
