wireless connection for pavilion a6340nl

HP Pavilion a6340nl = vista home premium = I would like to get access to my WLAN. So far only working with cabled connection.

Can I install a wireless connector where I do now plug in my cable plg? If so, which product.

Tks & regards

Re: wireless connection for pavilion a6340nl

Hi:

You need to either install an internal PCI, PCIe x1 wireless network adapter or you need to install an external USB adapter.

Here are some examples.  You can't get them at this place, but you will have an idea of what you need, and I'm sure you can get many of the same models in the Netherlands. Plus you can read the reviews on many of these items and get one that you think you would like best.

PCI Internal:

PCIe x1 internal:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100010074%20600014297&IsNodeId=1&name=PC...

External USB:

And you can get ones with different data transfer rates:  N300 (up to 300 MBPS), N150 (up to 150 MBPS) and Wireless G (up to 54 MBPS)

Then you can unplug your ethernet cable and connect wirelessly.
