xp pro reinstall needed but no install disc HP DC7700

My HP Compaq DC7700 has had operating system(Windows XP Pro)  wiped off (disc formatted). How can I reinstall the same OS without the original install disc. I have the product serial number on the side of the tower.

if you live in the USA or Canada, call HP at this number 1-800-334-5144, and order a set of recovery disks for your PC.

You will need to provide the model number and serial number.

Cost for a set will be $10, since your PC is no longer under warranty.

Hi,

I have a similar issue... I have a HP Compaq DC7100 UDST and a HP xw6200 Tower that I wish to reinstall the original OS on (32bit Win XP for the dc7100 and Win XP 64bit for the xw6200). I have the serial/product number for both and the original COAs but no Disks

However I'm not in the US/CA I'm in the UK, can I still get recovery media for them?

If they still have the recovery disks available, you should have no problem.

Plus, you get them for free in the UK.

Just call this number.  You will also need to provide the model # and serial number for each PC.

Many thanks for the reply Paul, I have made a phone call and will be receiving a recovery disk (or set?) for the Workstation by the end of the week (fingers crossed), but sadly for me, the dc7100 disks are unavailable. Still a great result considering the age of the PC

You can ask these guys if they will ship a set to the UK...enter the model number in the search box.
