Firstly, the computer is an HP Pavilion p6247c. It runs on Windows 7. The thing is, I've had it for 2 or 3 years now. I had a problem with the keyboard (someone dropped water on it, stopped working, etc.) and I had to buy a replacement, but the new keyboard is exactly the same model as the other one. The volume works perfectly and everything; however, the screen doesn't display the volume change. Before, when I changed the volume a box kind of thing would pop up and show me the new volume level. I want to enable it again, but I don't know how...... If you know how to fix this, I'd really appreciate the help!! Thanks a lot!

Here's the original keyboard driver. Install it and reboot the pc, let me know how it works.
There's also another thing you could check in msconfig under the start programs the software may be set to not startup.
I'm sure the software install from the link below should do the trick.
1) get the original driver here
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL29932/
2)after that get the update for it here
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software11/COL32516/
