I was watching something on my hp pavilion g6 and suddenly the voice from my speakers disappeared

The voice from my speakers disappeared and now its not working any more, however when i attached my head phones i can hear the sound but when i take the head phones out there is no sound coming from the speakers Currently window 7 is installed on my destop.And when i go to device manager it shows all the sound and audio hardware are working properly. What can I do to restore the sound from my speakers?.
