Internal Microphone

How do you turn up the internal microphone on a HP Pavilion g series, I use MSN and when talking to people they say they can't hear me, please help

Hi, seems we have the same problem. The internal microphone is not working. All attempts at rectifying have failed till now. Requesting help.We use windows 7.Thanks
