Re: Low sound Volume

Hi,

One thing can help is the following.  Right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select 'Playback Devices'.  Left click the default device once to highlight it ( it's usually 'speakers & headphones' ) then click the Properties button.  Click the Enhancements tab and put a tick in the box next to 'Loudness Equalization'.  Click Apply to save the change and then click OK in all remaining windows and see if this has helped at all.

Regards,

Re: Low sound Volume

I tried your suggestion. No improvement. with sound at 100% in all settings I can just barely hear music if

I put my ear close to the speakers. I had returned this computer for warrenty service last month and the sound

was just so-so when i got it back. Now extremely low again. Unusable. I have tried two different sets of powered

speakers that will blow your ears off on my hp laptop and the neighbors hp computer. It should not be a compatibility

problem. any more Ideas?

Re: Low sound Volume

MSCO,   I have the same problem on low volume coming from the integrated sound card on my three day old HP p6750f desktop.

I have two sets of HP speakers from older units that I tried to work...no results.  The problem is located with the sound card or such.

Spent some forty minutes waiting for HP Support to answer..Nothing there as they are out of the PC business and will not support any operating systems.  So, we are out of luck in that department.   I would like to return this computer, but, due to the fact they will not answer the phone to get a return request okay, makes me think we are out of luck.

I'm going to buy a sound card and some USB powered speakers and try that solution.
