Run windows update see if it has the drivers you need HP has no drivers for you system right now for you sound card in windows 7 I looked. Is the card on-board card or PCI? If the sound card is a on-board the connection for your speakers will be up next to your USB connections. if it is lower than it is a PCI card.

This looks to be a Creative Audio Up Card
The PCI Input Device is for the 15 pin Legacy Game Controller
The driver should be on Windows Update

The onboard audio uses the High Definition Audio Controller and that enumerates the High Definition Audio Device driver for the codec. To get the audio to work you need the out of box driver from Realtek's website

These devices belong to an audio up card not onboard audio.
Multimedia Audio Controller <-- e.g. Creative Sound Blaster Live, Audigy card
PCI Input Device <-- e.g. Creative Game Port
If you want to know for sure, right mouse click on the device, go to the Details tab, from the drop down menu, pick Hardware ID and post the PNPID
e.g.
PCI\VEN_????&DEV_????&SUBSYS_????????
PCI\VEN_????&DEV_????&SUBSYS_????????
