Need more volume

I need more volume frm my computer and I have no idea where to start.  i did go through the troubleshooting and there seems to be nothing wrong with my computer.    The problem is with my moniter.  I have a HP w1907.  I want more volume from the speakers.  I recently started watching movies on my computer and need more volume.  I went through the trouble shooting and there is nothing wrong - since I bought the moniter, I just feel that I want more volume.  What can I do?

You can purchase seperate powered speakers and connect them to the PC. The speakers in your monitor are too small for listening in a multimedia environment. The speakers in the w1907 are for a desktop environment.

I don't know what model of PC you have - but generally you plug them into the lime-green line-out or audio out connector on the back.

 

The important thing is that the speakers must be powered - that is, they plug into a power outlet and should probably have their own volume control knob.

Ok, they are not for a power outlet.  Would a set of speakers tht are USB capable work?

USB speakers should be ok since they draw power from the USB port. Not all USB speakers are created equally though :smileyhappy:

 

If you want great sound, a 2.1, 5.1, or 7.1 speaker system is the way to go :smileyvery-happy:
