SPDIF/HDMI audio.

All I want to know is where to plug in the two wires for HDMI audio?

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01386897&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&lc=en&dlc=en...

I understand it's the JSPD1 port on my motherboard but there is NO information beyond that, not even labels on the motherboard indicating what each pin in the connector is.

if I where to experiment, would any damage be possible to my motherboard or graphics card?

Re: SPDIF/HDMI audio.

I don't think you plug in any wires to the motherboard. The digital audio is carried through the bus (through the graphics card and out the HDMI cable).

If your PC is not sending HDMI audio to your monitor/TV, then make sure that you have selected HDMI as the default sound device in Windows sound properties (such as Realtek HDMI Output).

Re: SPDIF/HDMI audio.

The booklet that came with my 9500GT SPECIFICALLY states: "And, do not forget to connect SPDIF - your audio signal."

Would you like me to include a picture of the interal SPDIF cable that I was supplied?
